LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED
since 1988 in Columbia, South Carolina, MedCom, in the 1990s acquired three
additional services in Georgia and North Carolina to better serve their
southeastern customers. In addition to growing, MedCom diluted its
share base and expanded ownership to allow local participation at each
location.
A GREAT SUPPORT STAFF
TECHNICAL
Robbie Parnell is MedCom's
Chief Technical Officer and has been with the company since its conception
in 1988. He has been Vice President and holds an executive position
with TUNe (Telescan Users Network). He has designed, installed and
maintained seven systems for MedCom in South Carolina, Georgia and North
Carolina. Mr. Parnell has a great talent in working with phone companies
and linking systems together, so much so that he is retained at times by
answering service equipment manufacturers to head-up installs or trouble
shoot problems that present linkage issues beyond the realm of the manufacturer's
expertise. It is good having an individual such as Mr. Parnell who
is not only a great technician but understands the answering service industry
and keeps MedCom up-to-date with necessary upgrades & changes in our
industry.
ACCOUNTING
Recently MedCom asked its
longtime accounting firm, Hummers & Associates, to relocate at the
MedCom Corporate Headquarters. We are happy to announce that MedCom
has a new tenant, especially one who knows our numbers better than we do
and can advise us daily on financial decisions and how they affect us short
and long term.
ADMINISTRATIVE
Tammi Anderson & Magin
Lee stay on the same page. These two have worked together so long
they can almost read each other's mind; collectively they run the day-to-day
activities of MedCom. Where sales, service, administrative or billing
questions are concerned, contact one of these ladies - they can do it all!
STABIILITY
MedCom or its share holders
own each location and the building which houses the service. We finance
our upgrades and expansions "in-house". We do not outsource billing, collections
or sales. We maintain a strict budget, help our employees, and competitively
price a 100% -- 24/7/365 -- "live only" answering service.
BOTTOM LINE
We don't profess to be perfect
and we aren't the least expensive service you can find. We promise
